The premium neo-retro motorcycle space in India just got more exciting. Harley-Davidson has launched the new Harley-Davidson X440T, a fresher and sportier version of the popular X440. The bike now comes with better styling, new features, and a more premium feel — all at an ex-showroom price of ₹2,79,500.

Harley-Davidson X440T Specs

Harley has kept the trusted engine and core hardware from the X440, which means the X440T still delivers a strong and reliable performance.

  • Powered by a 440cc single-cylinder air-oil-cooled engine
  • Produces 27 bhp and 38 Nm of torque
  • Comes with a smooth 6-speed gearbox
  • 43 mm KYB USD forks at the front

So even though the engine setup hasn’t changed, the X440T still feels ready for daily city rides as well as relaxed highway trips.

Harley-Davidson X440T Design Updates

The X440T brings noticeable improvements in design, giving the bike a cleaner, more modern, and more Harley-like look.

Here’s what Harley has updated :

  • A new rear sub-frame and a sleeker tail section, replacing the bulky rear of the old X440
  • A longer and better-shaped seat, offering improved comfort for both rider and pillion
  • New grab handles added for safer pillion support
  • A tidier cockpit thanks to a ride-by-wire throttle system
  • A wider, flatter handlebar, providing a more confident and sporty riding position
  • Bar-end mirrors that give a sharper roadster look
  • A redesigned exhaust tip with a better heat shield

These updates make the X440T look more mature and premium, fixing many of the visual concerns riders had with the original X440.

Harley-Davidson Ride Mode & Traction Control

This is where the X440T gets a big boost. For the first time in this segment from Harley-Hero, the bike includes modern ride aids :

  • Ride-by-wire throttle for smoother and more accurate throttle response
  • Two riding modes : Road Mode – delivers full power , Rain Mode – gives softer power for safe riding on slippery roads
  • Switchable traction control for added safety
  • Switchable rear ABS to suit different riding conditions
  • Panic braking alert : all four indicators blink during sudden braking
  • 3.5-inch TFT colour screen with smartphone connectivity
  • Full LED lighting (headlamp, DRLs, indicators, tail-lamp)

These features make the X440T safer, more practical, and more advanced than the earlier version.

Harley-Davidson X440T Price

  • ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
  • It is now the top-spec variant of the X440 lineup
  • On-road price can vary by city, but generally : Standard X440 (2025) on-road was around ₹2.80 – ₹3.20 lakh , For X440T, expect around ₹3.20 – ₹3.40 lakh on-road, depending on RTO, insurance, and accessories

The X440T offers more features without pushing the price too far above the earlier model.

Harley-Davidson X440T Colours & Visual Appeal

Harley offers the X440T in four stylish colour options :

  • Pearl Blue
  • Pearl Red
  • Pearl White
  • Vivid Black

The updated tank graphics, better badge placement, darker fenders, and bronze-toned engine touches give the bike a richer and more premium personality. This helps maintain the authentic Harley look at an accessible price.

With the X440T, Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp have taken the original X440 and made it more attractive, more advanced, and more comfortable. The reliable 440cc engine stays the same, but the added features — especially ride modes, traction control, ride-by-wire, and better design — make the X440T feel like a big step forward.

This is a great option for riders moving up from 250–350cc motorcycles or anyone wanting an affordable Harley with real-world practicality.
