Hyundai Sales September 2025 on a strong note, led by the unstoppable Creta and Venue SUVs. The company recorded domestic sales of 51,547 units, marking a 1% year-on-year (YoY) growth over the 51,101 units sold in September 2024. The Hyundai Creta continued its dominance with 18,861 units sold, a 19% jump compared to last year. The Venue followed closely, maintaining its position as a compact SUV favourite. Even the Aura compact sedan showed a positive trend, growing 21% YoY, signalling that Hyundai’s refreshed product lineup is striking the right balance between design, features, and value.

SUVs were once again the driving force behind Hyundai’s success, accounting for over 72% of total domestic sales — the highest SUV share in Hyundai’s history.
Exports were equally strong, touching around 18,800 units, up 44% YoY. Combining both domestic and export numbers, Hyundai sold a total of 70,347 units in September 2025, which is about 10% higher than the same month last year.
However, not everything was smooth sailing. The company’s Q3 (July–September) domestic sales stood at 1,39,521 units, down 6.8% YoY, showing that long-term recovery still needs work.

Hyundai’s September performance clearly shows how the brand is benefiting from SUV demand and the new GST 2.0 tax reform, which reportedly reduced on-road prices by up to ₹75,000 on select models.

The Hyundai Creta was once again the brand’s biggest crowd-puller. With 18,861 units sold, it posted 19% YoY and 18% MoM growth.
In the mid-size SUV category (4.2–4.4m range), Creta continues to dominate with a marketshare of around 37% — way ahead of rivals. Its wide range of powertrain options — petrol, turbo-petrol, diesel, and even an EV version in some markets — gives customers more choice and flexibility.
