When it comes to space, the MG 4 EV offers a practical 363-litre boot, which can be expanded to over 1,100 litres by folding the rear seats. There’s also extra storage under the floor for keeping your charging cables neat and hidden.

For charging, the MG 4 EV is quite fast. It supports 150 kW DC fast charging, allowing the 51 kWh battery to charge from 10% to 80% in about 39 minutes, while the 64 kWh version can do it in around 35 minutes. This makes it a convenient EV for both city drives and longer trips.

2) Leapmotor T03

The Leapmotor T03 is a compact and easy-to-drive electric car made for city use. It runs on a 37.3 kWh LFP battery, giving a WLTP-tested range of around 265 km, and in slow city traffic it can even reach up to 395 km, which makes it a practical daily EV. Power comes from a 70 kW motor that produces 158 Nm of torque, so the car feels quick enough for normal driving and city speeds.

Charging is simple too. The T03 supports 48 kW DC fast charging, letting the battery go from 30% to 80% in about 36 minutes. Despite its small size, the car offers good space with a 210-litre boot, which can expand to 880 litres by folding the rear seats. In European markets, the T03 starts at around £15,995, making it one of the more affordable electric hatchbacks.

On the features side, it packs in Level-2 ADAS, multiple airbags, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, and an 8-inch digital display, giving it a modern and connected feel. As for India, Stellantis—Leapmotor’s global partner—has shown interest in bringing Leapmotor EVs, including the T03, to the Indian market in the future.

3) Maruti Baleno
