Porsche has taken a big step in India’s EV space with the launch of the Cayenne Electric, starting at ₹1.76 crore (ex-showroom). The brand has introduced two versions — the Cayenne Electric and the more powerful Cayenne Turbo Electric. Bookings have already begun, and the company aims to start deliveries in the second half of 2026.
This new model shows how Porsche is blending its strong SUV heritage with modern electric technology. The result is a luxury SUV that offers top-class comfort along with truly thrilling performance.
Porsche Cayenne Electric Wireless Charging
A highlight of the Cayenne Electric is its optional 11 kW wireless charging system. Instead of plugging in a cable, you simply park the car over a charging plate, and the system starts charging automatically. Porsche says the system is flexible enough to work even if the car is not parked perfectly in line with the plate.
This feature makes day-to-day EV ownership even easier. For many premium EV owners, not having to plug in a cable every time feels like a major convenience upgrade.
Porsche Cayenne Electric 113 kWh Battery
Both versions of the Cayenne Electric come with a large 113 kWh battery pack. Porsche has designed it with double-sided cooling, which helps keep temperatures under control and supports consistent performance.
The SUV is built on an 800-volt electrical architecture, allowing extremely fast DC charging. It can charge at up to 390 kW, and sometimes even close to 400 kW. With the right charger, Porsche claims the battery can go from 10% to 80% in under 16 minutes.
When it comes to range, the standard Cayenne Electric can travel up to 642 km (WLTP), while the Turbo version offers up to 623 km. These are strong numbers considering how powerful and heavy the SUV is.
